Groundskeeper

About the role

The Groundskeeper Intern performs landscaping maintenance tasks across designated campus areas.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and promotes effective communication with all individuals.
• Upholds a positive image of the entity in the community, aligning with its mission, vision, and values.
• Maintains landscaped areas on or around campus.
• Prepares flowerbeds and weeds around buildings and terrace areas.
• Applies mulch to planted areas and around trees.
• Removes and replaces stones around buildings.
• Edges landscape areas across campus.
• Performs lawn maintenance, including topsoil application and seeding.
• Sets up hoses and waters plantings as needed.
• Uses tools such as shovels and rakes regularly.
• Cleans up and removes waste/litter across the entire campus.
• Conducts seasonal campus-wide clean-up.
• Sweeps out apartment garages and cleans sand from parking areas.
• Operates mechanical equipment as directed or approved.
• Performs other assigned duties.

Pay

$16–$18 per hour.
