Groundskeeper

About the role

Global Power Components is a privately held, growing manufacturer of UL heavy-gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures, and modular metal enclosures for housing fully equipped electrical distribution and control equipment. We have recently moved operations into a newly renovated 300,000 sq. ft. facility and are seeking a Groundskeeper to support our continued growth.

This is a temp-to-hire position with an initial duration of 3+ months, onsite 5 days per week in Milwaukee, WI.

Responsibilities

• Plant grass, shrubs, trees, and flowers.
• Install and maintain water fountains, fences, gates, retaining walls, rock gardens, and other design features.
• Keep outdoor furniture clean and in good repair.
• Apply mulch, fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides.
• Maintain green spaces by weeding, trimming, and pruning.
• Remove unwanted or unhealthy plants, shrubs, trees, and downed limbs.
• Operate hand tools and power equipment, including mowers, leaf-blowers, snowblowers, and tillers.
• Water lawns and gardens.
• Rake leaves and other vegetation from lawns and flower beds.
• Remove trash and other debris from outdoor areas.
• Operate snow removal equipment and shovel walkways.
• Work with other maintenance crew and construction specialists as needed.
