Groundskeeper

About the Role

We are looking for a hardworking, diligent, and detail-oriented Groundskeeper to maintain the property under the supervision of the manager. Preferred experience with landscaping.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all turf areas around the property, including spin trimming, mowing, spraying for weeds, and irrigating (dethatch and aerate lawns when required).
• Maintain all flower beds and planters by watering and turning over pots.
• Maintain pathways by edging, cleaning up broken stone pieces, and sweeping gravel back into designated pathway areas.
• Spray insect fog at designated areas and times to reduce mosquito activity.
• Maintain all landscape equipment, including blade replacement/sharpening, basic servicing (oil change, cleaning of spark plugs/filters, and winterizing equipment).
• Aide in acquisition, splitting, storage, and distribution of firewood.
• Wrap and unwrap trees in protective cages as needed.
• Maintain ponds and pond features in core guest areas.
• Maintain and revamp existing landscaping.

Skills

• Strong communication skills.
• Able to work with little to no supervision.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more constantly.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

Qualifications

Experience with irrigation, maintenance, mechanics, machine operation, or fleet is preferred but not required.
