About the Role

The Graphic Designer / Pre-Press Specialist is responsible for transforming client ideas into professional marketing materials while ensuring all artwork is accurately prepared for commercial print production. This role combines creative graphic design with technical pre-press expertise to produce high-quality print-ready files for a wide range of printed products.

Responsibilities

  • Create professional marketing materials based on client requirements.
  • Design brochures, flyers, business cards, postcards, banners, signage, and promotional products.
  • Develop visually compelling layouts that align with client branding.
  • Modify and improve existing artwork when required.
  • Ensure consistency in typography, colors, and branding across projects.
  • Prepare artwork for commercial printing.
  • Review customer files for print readiness and technical accuracy.
  • Perform pre-flight checks on artwork before production.
  • Correct file issues including fonts, image resolution, color settings, and bleed requirements.
  • Generate press-ready files according to production specifications.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure accurate printing.
  • Troubleshoot artwork and printing issues.
  • Verify proofs before final production.
  • Ensure projects meet quality standards and production deadlines.
  • Consult with clients to understand project objectives.
  • Translate customer concepts into effective print designs.
  • Present design revisions and incorporate client feedback.
  • Maintain excellent customer service throughout project execution.
  • Inspect artwork for accuracy before printing.
  • Ensure files meet commercial printing specifications.
  • Maintain consistency across multiple print formats.
  • Verify final output quality before delivery.

Qualifications

  • Experience in graphic design and commercial print production.
  • Knowledge of pre-press workflows and print preparation.
  • Understanding of commercial printing processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in a commercial print shop or print production environment.
  • Knowledge of large-format printing.
  • Experience preparing files for offset and digital printing.
  • Familiarity with color management and print quality standards.
