Graphic Designer
Primary Responsibilities
- Design advertising collateral, publications, promotional merchandise, event materials, and program assets within WETA’s established brand guidelines.
- Produce print, digital, web, social media, and broadcast assets that meet project specifications and brand standards.
- Aid in print production processes, including file preparation and pre-flighting, coordinating with vendors and internal teams to ensure quality and meet specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-departmental stakeholders to translate creative briefs into effective designs, incorporating feedback constructively and meeting project timelines.
- Support studio administration by helping maintain the digital asset management system, organizing project files, and supporting day-to-day studio operations.

- The ability to apply and execute within established brand identities and visual guidelines across WETA’s organization and its sub-brands.
- Strong foundational design skills, such as typography and layout, applied consistently across print, digital, web, and broadcast platforms.
- Working knowledge of physical production processes, including file preparation, pre-flighting, color correction, and vendor coordination.
- Diplomatic communication skills to translate creative briefs, present concepts, and constructively navigate iterative stakeholder feedback.
- The ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments, meet fast-paced deadlines, and keep project files and digital assets organized.
Additional Skills And Qualifications
- Strong foundation in typography, layout, hierarchy, and color theory, alongside knowledge of print production (pre-flighting, color correction).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills to balance multiple deadlines and effectively articulate design concepts.
- Familiarity with or interest in integrating ethical generative AI tools into design workflows, with an awareness of appropriate and responsible use.
