Required Qualifications
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and execute the print and digital designs for the Communications Department of the district under the supervision of and as approved by the senior designer and director of creative services.
- Produce college print publications from design concept to the finished product, including graphics, editing, and developing print specifications.
- Develop and design, digitally animated graphics for advertisements.
- Archive and back-up work, onto a district server after completion, following and maintaining departmental procedures.
- Keep up-to-date on trends and changes in graphic design, print design, and digitally animated graphics to maintain current working knowledge.
- Maintain confidentiality of organizational plans and personnel actions.
- Attend meetings with writers and/or clients to gather information on incoming projects, as needed.
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively with writers and clients on projects.

- Knowledge of standard filing system for projects.

- Design skills in print and digital animation.
- Proficiency with leveraging AI tools to generate, explore, and refine creative concepts and visual direction in support of design projects.
- Ability to read and interpret client messages.
- Ability to use Adobe creative computer software.
- Ability to see projects through stages of creation, development and revision to completion.
- Ability to ensure creative work meets ADA accessibility standards and principles.
Physical Demands, Working Conditions and Physical Effort
- Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
- Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
- Positions in this class typically require talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions.
- Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards.
- Office environment. Little physical effort required.
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited institution and at least four (4) years of experience.
- Preferred: At least five (5) years of experience.
- Equivalency: Language In addition to minimum experience required: At least 60 semester hours OR at least two (2) additional years of directly related experience.
- In addition to minimum education required: A higher level degree than what is required for the job may be substituted for no more than one (1) year of the required work experience.

Compensation
Salary compensation is determined based on experience.
Hiring Range
Hiring Minimum: $51,480.00
Hiring Maximum: $62,774.50
