Key Responsibilities
- Manage and track grant funding in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports for grant-funded programs
- Monitor budgets and ensure proper allocation of grant expenses
- Perform account reconciliations and support month-end close processes
- Auxiliary with audits and ensure compliance with grant requirements (OMB Uniform Guidance a plus)
- Collaborate with program managers to ensure proper financial tracking and reporting
- Maintain documentation and ensure readiness for internal and external audits
Qualifications
- 3+ years of accounting experience, with grant accounting preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP and fund accounting principles
- Experience with federal or state grant compliance (OMB Uniform Guidance preferred)
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or similar)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple grants and deadlines simultaneously
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
