About the role
The TRIO Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) Data Entry Clerk provides clerical and data entry support to ensure accurate recordkeeping and efficient program operations.
Responsibilities
- Input participant information into the Blumen database accurately and in a timely manner.
- Create and maintain program folders and electronic files.
- File, scan, and manage participant paperwork in accordance with program guidelines.
- Prepare and assemble recruitment and outreach packets.
- Answer incoming phone calls and make outgoing calls to participants to provide general program information.
- Assist with picking up and distributing mail and program materials.
- Distribute TRIO EOC flyers and promotional materials around campus and in the community.
- Attend and support program workshops, outreach events, and recruitment activities as needed.
- Verify all student data to ensure compliance with all data requirements and ensure accuracy and completion of forms.
- Maintain all student information and files confidential as required by FERPA.
- Prepare weekly summary reports for supervisor.
- Adhere to federal, institutional, and program policies regarding confidentiality.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- One (1) year of related work experience including data entry and database maintenance.
Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Accurate typing skills with the ability to identify errors.
- Ability to enter data quickly and proficiently.
- Ability to multitask effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree.
- Experience with Microsoft Teams.
- Experience with Colleague, Datatel, Blumen, or related systems databases.
