About the role
The Data Entry Clerk will support a Utility Client by scanning, indexing, and archiving documentation for the Client’s repository. This position requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Review and prepare source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information from project administrators.
- Resolve questions and errors using standard procedures to work with team leaders on incomplete documents.
- Establish entry priorities and prioritize work based on Client deadlines and compliance dates.
- Digitize field documentation using a scanner and perform data entry of transcribed information.
- Upload and archive field documentation into Client systems and index data for ease of lookup.
- Retrieve and/or deliver documentation from nearby Client offices as requested.
- Verify entered data is correct through downloads and Excel spreadsheets, making corrections if necessary.
- Save files for record keeping, marking duplicates or corrected files to record data and revisions.
- Enter and maintain new unit tables for existing and new projects.
- Review invoice backup to ensure all items requested by the client are included.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Data entry experience or related office experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and precise with numerical detail.
- Intermediate computer experience and aptitude, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work well with colleagues at all levels and maintain a professional demeanor.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Pay
Hourly rate for this position is $18.00 - $20.00.
Schedule
This is a full-time, on-site position at the Client office, Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day.
Work Environment
- Professional office environment using standard office equipment.
- Bending, sitting, standing, walking, and lifting up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to sit/stand and move freely for up to 8 hours per day.
