Primary Purpose of the Position
To provide students with opportunities for professional experience, academic training, and financial support while pursuing graduate degrees. Graduate assistantship positions are offered through various academic departments and are funded by grants or state funds.Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
To hold a graduate assistantship, a student must:- Be enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours during fall/spring or three (3) credit hours during summer.
- Enrolled at Fayetteville State University in a master’s or doctoral program, in good academic standing, and working toward a degree.
- Attend new employee orientation prior to starting assistantship and complete all required employment paperwork with the Human Resources department no later than your first day of employment.
