About the role
McGuireWoods LLP seeks an experienced mid-level associate to join the Firm’s Government Investigations and White Collar Litigation Department in its Richmond office. The national government investigations and white collar litigation group has the experience and credibility clients trust with their most sensitive matters. This deep bench of more than 80 attorneys represents individual and corporate clients across industries in civil, criminal, and congressional investigations and enforcement matters at the federal and state levels. The team brings decades of experience handling investigations and litigation at the intersection of business, politics, and law. This is an opportunity to work with an award-winning and nationally-recognized white collar practice that is cohesive, collegial, and focuses on long-term attorney development and success.
The candidate will work with partners and clients across the country and internationally. The firm offers billable hours credit for pro bono work and continually enhances initiatives to support lawyers in their careers.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of government investigations experience in a top-tier law firm
- Excellent academic credentials and writing skills
- Judicial law clerk experience is highly valued
- Experience at an AmLaw 20 firm in DC or NY strongly preferred
- Experience at Chambers white collar Band 1 firms is highly valued
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with client, business, and legal teams
- Willingness and desire to work with innovative technology platforms, including Harvey AI for research, document drafting, and analytical work
- Virginia State Bar admission required
Pay
$235,000 - $365,000
