About the role
We are bringing on a Google Ads Specialist to own paid search performance across a portfolio of 6-10 home service clients. Google Ads is the foundation of everything we deliver, and this role exists to run that channel with real ownership — not just maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Build, manage, and optimize Google Search campaigns for home service clients
- Run Local Services Ads (LSAs) where applicable and manage Google Guaranteed status
- Conduct ongoing keyword research, match type refinement, and negative keyword management
- Monitor and improve Quality Scores, CTR, and conversion rates across accounts
- Manage budgets and pacing across the client portfolio
- Provide clear performance reporting with forward-looking recommendations
- Set up, manage, and optimize LSA campaigns across client accounts
- Monitor lead quality, dispute invalid leads, and optimize budget allocation
- Coordinate with clients to maintain review velocity and profile health
- Track cost-per-lead performance and flag issues or opportunities proactively
Requirements
- 3+ years running Google Ads campaigns, with demonstrated results in home services or local service businesses
- Hands-on experience managing Local Services Ads (LSAs) and Google Guaranteed accounts
- A strong understanding of paid search strategy — you think in terms of search intent and lead quality, not just platform mechanics
- Comfortable managing 6-10 client accounts simultaneously without things slipping
- A clear, proactive communicator — clients never wonder where things stand, and our internal team hears about issues before they become problems
- A self-directed with a collaborative disposition — you don’t need hand-holding, but you work well within a small team structure
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or roofing verticals specifically
- Default to proactive communication — you flag risks before they surface, not after
- You are energized by the depth of owning a focused channel rather than being spread thin across many
- You bring entrepreneurial initiative and genuinely care about client outcomes, not just platform metrics
- You want to grow with a company and are willing to contribute beyond the strict boundaries of your scope when it matters
