About the role
The Barrow Neuro Analytics Center (BNAC) is a data science-focused research facility led by Dr. Brad Racette and co-directed by Dr. Chia-Ling Phuah. BNAC is located in the Park Central Bioscience hub adjacent to Barrow Neurological Institute (BNI) and Creighton University School of Medicine Phoenix Health Sciences campus. It houses the Racette Laboratory and Criswell Laboratory, which focus on epidemiologic studies and environmental and occupational risk factors in neurodegeneration.
Responsibilities
- Engage in laboratory, translational, or clinical research under the direction of a faculty member.
- Develop skills necessary for success as an independent investigator.
- Contribute to mentor-directed research.
- Develop problem-solving skills in technical and conceptual components of project execution.
Requirements
- Ph.D., post-baccalaureate M.D. or D.Sc. degree or equivalent in a relevant field of endeavor.
- Research experience leading to Doctoral degree.
- Laboratory or clinical research at the post-baccalaureate level with an interest in a faculty member's line of study.
- Familiarity with basic computer, mathematical, scientific, reasoning, and oral and written communication skills.
- Laboratory or clinical technical and/or interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Education Doctoral degree in a relevant field of endeavor.
- Beyond minimum required, experience writing research reports concerning own work and familiarity with a biomedical discipline.
- Technical and/or conceptual expertise in a relevant field.
