About the role
The Center for Healthcare Delivery Science (CHDS) at Nemours Children’s Health invites applications for its Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Program. CHDS is a collaborative team of scientists working with healthcare systems, schools, and communities to improve the health of children and families. This program seeks to support individuals with a passion for clinical research aiming for academic research careers.
Responsibilities
- Work with a primary research faculty mentor to develop a research focus within the scope of CHDS.
- Write and submit mentored grant applications (e.g., internal fellowship grants, NIH K23) to launch your own line of research.
- Participate in all aspects of clinical research, including project planning, recruitment, data collection, data management, and manuscript preparation.
- Attend educational sessions such as biomedical research presentations, pediatric grand rounds, and CHDS-based research meetings and didactics.
- Become part of a cohort of postdoctoral fellows across Nemours Children’s Health.

Qualifications
Fellows must have completed a PhD in a relevant field (e.g., psychology, nursing, public health) and have a strong background in clinical research. Experience in one of the CHDS focus areas (obesity and disordered eating, or another area of interest) is preferred.
Skills
Strong skills in research methodology, data analysis, and writing are essential. Proficiency in clinical research methods and experience with grant writing are highly desirable.
Benefits
The fellowship provides a professional development allowance and a competitive benefits package. Salary for the 2026-2027 academic year is $66,231, with the possibility of a merit increase at the start of the second year.

The schedule is primarily research-based, with up to 20% supervised clinical time available if applicable.
