Position Overview
The GSLE Program Coordinator creates a positive, engaging environment where youth can develop leadership skills through Girl Scout programming. This role requires strong communication, organization, and facilitation skills, along with a passion for working with youth.
Required Skills

- Enjoy working with school-aged children
- Independent and innovative thinker and problem solver who thrives in a team environment, is willing to tackle new challenges, and is able to manage multiple assignments while meeting specific deadlines with minimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Basic understanding of youth development and age-appropriate practices
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, school staff, and community partners
Candidate Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older and authorized to work in the United States
- Willingness and ability to pass a background check
- Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation and ability to commute to assigned school site
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends
- Commitment to the values and mission of Girl Scouts of Hawai‘I
- Must become a registered adult member of Girl Scouts USA (Reimbursable)
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, child development, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in childcare, youth education, or after-school programming
- First Aid and/or CPR certification
- Experience facilitating group activities or leading youth programs
- Ability to develop engaging lesson plans or activities
- Strong knowledge of Hawaiian culture and language
