SUMMARY
As part of First Banks Government Guaranteed Lending (GGL) Servicing Team, the Loan Servicing Specialist provides a high level of technical support to clients, vendors, and affiliated Bank personnel. This position serves as the principal contact for customers regarding GGL, specifically 7a, 504, and/or USDA business loans and services. Duties include handling various post-close servicing actions such as loan modifications, collateral releases, name changes, address changes, assumptions, release of obligor/guarantor, deferrals/modifications, and death of obligor.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provide the highest level of quality service to all lending personnel and clients.
- Afford assistance and support to clients with post-close GGL servicing requests, ensuring they meet GGL guidelines and obtaining proper approvals and notices.
- Manage and document servicing requests, including but not limited to exchange of collateral, changes to entities, name changes, address changes, assumptions, release of obligor/guarantor, deferrals/modifications, and death of obligor.
- Offer high-level GGL technical support by answering client questions via phone or email.
- Be proficient in current SOP Servicing and Liquidations Manual.
- Monitor and update project pipeline report.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring accurate, efficient, and timely completion of tasks.
- Identify and bring to attention adverse and key risks to the Bank.
- Deliver completed Servicing Action Request Memos (SARMs) to the appropriate decision maker and ensure all SOP requirements are met, including proper notices and file documentation.
- Procure and analyze supporting documentation to assist clients with post-close GGL servicing action requests.
- Analyze third-party reports.
- Assist with other duties and special projects as needed.
- Continuously develop professional skills relevant to the position.
- Support the organization's goals, values, initiatives, and cost control measures.
- Adapt to change and learn new skills and software applications.
- Complete annual compliance courses.
- Comply with all corporate policies and procedures, as well as federal and state regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering Act.
- Meet Service Excellence standards.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Four-year degree with a Finance or Business concentration or at least 3-5 years of GGL-related experience, highly preferred.
- Familiarity with GGL loan collection, processing, payments, monitoring protocols, and servicing documentation requirements.
- Familiarity with GGL processes and terminology.
- Effective organizational, oral, and written communication skills, along with high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects/loans simultaneously, ensuring accurate, efficient, and timely completion of tasks.
- Knowledge of Microsoft software, including Word, Excel, and Adobe, a plus.
- Knowledge and experience in financial analysis.
