SUMMARY

As part of First Banks Government Guaranteed Lending (GGL) Servicing Team, the Loan Servicing Specialist is responsible for providing a high level of technical support to clients, vendors, and affiliated Bank personnel. This position will be the principal contact for customers in regards to GGL loans and services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provide the highest level of quality service to all lending personnel and clients.
  • Aid clients with post-close GGL servicing requests ensuring they meet GGL guidelines and proper approvals and notices are obtained and files are properly documented. Servicing requests include: exchange of collateral, changes to entities, name changes, address changes, assumptions, release of obligor/guarantor, deferments/modifications, and death of obligor.
  • Answer client questions via phone or email with a high level of GGL technical support.
  • Be proficient on current SOP Servicing and Liquidations Manual.
  • Maintain and update project pipeline report.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring accurate, efficient, and timely completion of tasks.
  • Identify and address adverse and key risks, bringing them to the attention of the Bank.
  • Deliver completed Servicing Action Request Memos (SARMs) to the appropriate decision maker and ensure all SOP requirements are met, including proper notices and file documentation.
  • Procure and analyze supporting documentation to assist clients with post-close GGL Servicing Action Requests.
  • Analyze third-party reports.
  • Assist with other duties and special projects as needed.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Four-year degree with a Finance or Business concentration or a minimum of 3-5 years GGL related experience highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with GGL loan collection, processing, payments, monitoring protocols, and servicing documentation requirements.
  • Familiarity with GGL’s processes and terminology.
  • Effective organizational, oral, and written communication skills and high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/situations simultaneously, managing time and resources to ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently, and within established timeframes.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft software, including Word, Excel, and Adobe, and a financial analysis background is a plus.
