Geriatric Psychiatry RN (Full-Time, Night Shift)

About the role

This position involves providing direct patient care to adults aged 50+ in a behavioral health setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.

Responsibilities

• Promote patient and family-centered care through education on illness management, medication, and post-treatment needs.
• Participate in ensuring patient safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and document individualized care plans collaboratively with patients, families, and the healthcare team, ensuring clear communication across the continuum of care.
• Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs using critical nursing skills, considering patient preferences, cultural, spiritual, and emotional factors.
• Work in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining constant alertness and safety awareness.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN with an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• No prior experience required, but 2+ years of nursing experience is preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively, demonstrate critical thinking, and adapt to patient needs.
