About The Role
We are looking for an experienced, full-time Whole Home Generator Sales, Installation & Service Specialist to join our team. This position combines whole home standby generator sales, installation, maintenance, and service. The ideal candidate has strong residential electrical knowledge, hands-on generator experience, and the ability to communicate technical information clearly with homeowners. You will work directly with customers to evaluate their backup power needs, recommend the right generator solution, professionally install and commission generator systems, and provide ongoing service to ensure dependable operation.
Responsibilities
- Meet with homeowners to assess their electrical system, backup power needs, and generator requirements
- Educate customers on whole home standby generator options and recommend appropriate solutions
- Conduct in-home sales consultations and identify opportunities for generator installations, upgrades, and maintenance plans
- Perform residential whole home generator installations, including electrical connections, transfer switches, control wiring, and related components
- Perform generator startup, testing, commissioning, and homeowner orientation
- Diagnose and repair generator electrical and operational issues
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, testing, and service on existing generator systems
- Inspect electrical systems and complete or recommend necessary upgrades, including panels, breakers, disconnects, and transfer switches
- Coordinate installation requirements with other trades and team members when needed
- Maintain accurate service and installation documentation while ensuring all work meets applicable codes, manufacturer requirements, permitting requirements, and company safety standards
- Maintain a clean, professional work environment and treat each customer's home with care and respect
Requirements

- Has a strong customer-service mindset and enjoys building relationships with homeowners
- Communicates confidently and professionally
- Takes the time to understand a homeowner's concerns before recommending a solution
- Can explain the value and benefits of whole home backup power without using high-pressure sales tactics
- Takes ownership of the customer experience from the initial consultation through installation and ongoing maintenance
- Is highly organized and able to move quickly while maintaining attention to detail
- Holds themselves to a high standard and demonstrates integrity in every customer interaction
We're looking for someone who is comfortable working with people as well as electrical systems, someone who takes ownership of the customer experience, communicates professionally, builds relationships, and takes pride in quality work.
Pay
$23-$28 hourly + commission on generator sales
Schedule
Typically Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, with additional hours as business needs require
