General Practice Client Service Representative

About the role

VCA Great Lakes Veterinary Specialists is a busy, small animal specialty, emergency, and general practice hospital in Warrensville Heights, Ohio. We are seeking an experienced Client Service Representative to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Excellent customer service skills
• Answering a multiline phone system
• Scheduling and confirming appointments
• Aiding with admitting and discharging pet patients
• Invoicing/billing, processing payments, and collection attempts
• Conflict management, dispute resolution, and de-escalation
• Managing medical records, charts, reports, and correspondences
• Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments
• Assisting in client education regarding preventative care, wellness care plans, etc.
• Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring that facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside
• A passion for helping animals and their owners

Requirements

We are hiring for weekday/weekend daytime shifts at this time and will consider full or part time applicants. The ideal candidate is a believer of high quality patient care, a devoted team player who thrives in a collaborative environment, and is invested in the success of the entire team.

Qualifications

• Experience in a veterinary setting preferred
• Highly professional and personable demeanor
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office
