General Market Sales Rep
About the role
The General Market Sales Representative plays a crucial role in maintaining strong retail focus to align with all company sales objectives, including volume, distribution, share of market, and customer service. This position is responsible for growing the entire portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Regular call frequency on assigned retail accounts to sell volume, increase distribution, merchandise monitor price and shelf management
- Establishing measures to prevent Out of Stocks
- Maintaining and building business relationships and presenting professional sales presentations using sales histories
- Creating localized plans to drive growth
- Understanding the target consumer by account
- Frequent communication with direct line manager and sales team
- Handling daily paperwork and completing all company documents
- Communicating company credit and accounts receivable processes
- Working with the Credit Department to resolve credit issues including collecting past due balances
- Providing feedback to management regarding promotional activities, market data, and competitive activity
Requirements
- Developed knowledge and experience in sales and company objectives
- Excellent oral and written communications skills (interacts well with internal and external customers)
- Above average presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent computer skills in all sales programs
- Excellent organizational skills
- Enthusiastic, team player interested in positive company growth
- Clean, valid NYS Driver’s License
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business or Marketing
- Minimum of 3-5 years sales or applicable experience
Skills
- Knowledge of sales techniques and strategies
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and presentation skills

Pay
Competitive compensation package with expected first year total earnings of $41,000 - $45,000 / year plus commissions.
