General Manager- In Home White Glove Delivery

About the role

The General Manager – In Home White Glove Delivery is a full-time, on-site role based in Dayton, NJ. This position oversees daily operations of in-home white glove delivery services, including scheduling, routing, and execution of deliveries to ensure a premium customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Schedules, routes, and executes deliveries to provide a premium customer experience.
• Leads and develops local teams, including drivers and support staff, setting performance expectations and providing coaching to maintain service quality and safety standards.
• Maintains customer relationships, resolves escalated issues, and collaborates with corporate leadership to align local operations with company goals and service levels.
• Maintains Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), controls costs, enforces compliance with policies and regulations, and continuously improves processes to enhance efficiency and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in operations management, preferably in last mile, in-home delivery, or logistics environments.
• Strong leadership, team management, and staff development skills, with the ability to build an engaged, performance-driven culture.
• Proficiency in planning, scheduling, and routing, with solid organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
• A customer-focused mindset with excellent communication and relationship-management skills for both clients and end customers.
• Comfort with data analysis, KPI tracking, and use of logistics or delivery management systems to drive decisions.
• Knowledge of safety standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices for in-home delivery and handling of customer property.
• Ability to work on-site in Dayton, NJ and adapt to a fast-paced, service-oriented environment, including occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience in logistics or operations management is highly valued.
