General Manager, DC Operations
About the role
We are seeking a talented individual to lead our Distribution Center and serve as a NAPA General Manager of Operations. This role requires a proven track record of operational excellence, safety, leadership, and problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Hires, trains, develops, motivates, and supports the distribution center salaried and hourly teams
- Develops and monitors production plans for the DC and ensures optimal staffing allocation
- Manages associates to prioritize safety, ensuring compliance with work practices
- Oversees the DC's P&L and works with salaried managers to achieve budgeted targets
- Establishes process improvement initiatives and streamlines operations
- Collaborates with senior leadership and cross-functional teams on network projects
- Supports operational strategy and innovation to drive business goals
- Develops leaders to enhance safety standards, customer service, productivity, and employee engagement
- Ensures effective communication and teamwork among staff to achieve departmental objectives
- Maintains and communicates company and HR policies consistently
- Monitors operational policies and procedures to ensure efficient processing of delivery orders and customer service levels
- Develops inventory/security controls to prevent shrinkage and shortages
- Manages multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- Four-year degree or equivalent experience
- Five years’ experience handling inventory/operational tasks
- Five years' management experience in a Distribution Center / Fulfillment Center environment
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Good reasoning, conflict-management, and analytical/problem-solving skills
- Experience with activity-based performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean thinking
- A working knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations
- A willingness to learn and go above and beyond
- Able to relocate for future growth opportunities
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's degree preferred or comparable experience in a Service Manager or Distribution Center/Warehouse Manager role
- Experience managing and improving operational P&L performance in distribution management and logistics
- Organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to use computer systems effectively for asset protection and business development
- Ability to build teams, manage conflicts, and develop personnel to assume higher levels of responsibility

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
The schedule is fast-paced and includes continuous exposure to industrial noise, bright overhead lighting, and varying temperatures due to limited climate control.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
The role involves continuous movement, bending, twisting, stretching, pushing, pulling, carrying, and lifting up to 60 lbs. Employees should be comfortable standing and walking for up to 12 hours. They should also be able to operate powered industrial equipment like walkies, reach trucks, and stand-ups, with proper training and safety standards provided.
