General Maintenance

About the role

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing equipment and company assets associated with Beef processing while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot facility and equipment problems that occur in the day-to-day operations.
• Perform work that involves hydraulics, electrical, plumbing, conveyor maintenance, 3-phase wiring, AC/CD control wiring, welding, and pneumatic systems.
• Set up, adjust, and break down production machinery.
• Preform scheduled preventative maintenance duties.
• Complete daily reports and paperwork.

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 1 year mechanic work experience documented in the work history section of the application or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program (can be a combination of employers if experience is at least 1 year).
• Proficiency in reading and writing ; ability to complete on-the-job paperwork and effectively communicate across all management levels.
• Must possess the ability to read and comprehend labels, numbers, and instructions, as well as communicate effectively.
• Maintenance crews typically work 4-5 days per week, with 2-3 days off and will include shifts on Sundays and some major holidays when necessary;
• Welding experience preferred.
• Must be available to work C shift (overnight).
