General Cardiologist
About the role
The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Utah invites applications for a full-time board-certified, or board eligible, non-invasive General Cardiologist with an interest in academic practice. This faculty position offers the opportunity to join a leading academic medical center with a strong cardiology program.
Responsibilities
- Engage in clinical care, teaching, research, and other scholarly activities within a collaborative and supportive academic environment.
- Join a highly collaborative team of fourteen general cardiologists, fourteen advanced practice clinicians (NP/PA).
- Educate eighteen ACGME Cardiovascular Disease Fellows, in addition to five sub-specialty fellowships with twelve fellows enrolled.
- Provide inpatient and outpatient cardiology services, participate in echocardiography and nuclear cardiology rotations, and engage in specialized programs such as advanced imaging, cardio-oncology, and pulmonary hypertension.
- Engage in medical education responsibilities, with opportunities to mentor and teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Involvement in clinical research and other scholarly activities.
Requirements
- Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Cardiovascular Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
- Candidates must be board-certified or willing to sit for Adult Echocardiography by the National Board of Echocardiography.
- Candidates must be board-certified or willing to sit for Nuclear Cardiology by the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology.
- Candidates must be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Utah.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications include a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- A minimum of three years of postgraduate training in cardiovascular medicine.
- Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship.
- Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Utah.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $200,000 - $250,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Schedule
The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
