General Cardiologist
Location: Gallatin, TN – Ascension Saint Thomas Heart. This job is in a Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA) and/or Medically Underserved Area/Population (MUA/P).
About the role
This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated physician to join an employed position within a busy, well-respected cardiology practice, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network. You’ll work alongside an established team of 5 physicians and 4 advanced practice providers with a 1:6 call rotation. The practice setting allows a balanced mix of outpatient clinic and inpatient rounding, with direct access to advanced diagnostics, imaging, and a collaborative referral network for higher-acuity patient needs.
We seek a board-certified or board-eligible cardiologist who is eligible for Tennessee medical licensure and DEA registration. Core values include a collaborative mindset, strong communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care within a nonprofit, mission-driven health system.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a balanced mix of outpatient clinic and inpatient rounding
- Participate in a 1:6 call rotation
- Collaborate with a team of physicians and advanced practice providers

- Provide high-quality, mission-driven care within a nonprofit health system
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
- Eligible for Tennessee state medical licensure and DEA registration
- MD or DO degree
- Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills
