General Cardiologist
Location: Evansville, Indiana (along the scenic Ohio River)
About the Role
This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated general Cardiologist to join an employed position within a busy, well-respected practice, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network. The Heart Care Team consists of 16 physicians and 16 APPs (across all sub-specialties).
- Call structure: 1:8 light home call
- Practice setting: Mixed (primarily outpatient clinic with inpatient rounding 1x every 2 months)
- Access to advanced cath lab (including Watchman, TAVR, high-risk PCI, renal denervation), on-site CT surgery backup, and advanced cardiac imaging
- Drive clinical excellence by utilizing evidence-based decision-making and key procedures (TEE, DCCV) to maximize patient satisfaction and outcomes
- Enhance patient access and heart care through collaborative outpatient and inpatient consultations, maintaining an average clinic volume of 15–20 patients per day
- ACGME Internal Medicine residency involvement optional
- Mentorship opportunities available for advanced practice practitioners and medical students
- Employed position within a nonprofit health system
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology
- Fellowship training in Cardiology required

Full-service hospital facility with 375 beds and three adult intensive care units. Level 2 adult and pediatric trauma center serving a regional tri-state population of approximately 300,000+ residents. Integrated referral network and part of Ascension, a national nonprofit Catholic health system.

Requirements
- Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required
- Advanced Life Support preferred (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted)
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required
