About the Role

As a plumbing technician at Jarboe’s, you’ll be part of a team that tackles challenging plumbing issues using advanced diagnostic and repair equipment. You’ll work with a range of General Pipe Cleaners tools, including video pipe inspection cameras and high-powered drain cleaning machines, to solve problems efficiently and effectively—often on the first visit.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex plumbing issues, including persistent drain back-ups, root intrusions, and blockages in residential and rural sewer lines.
• Operate and maintain specialized equipment, such as Gen-Eye® video inspection systems and Speedrooter 92® drain cleaning machines.
• Perform video pipe inspections to accurately identify problems in 2” through 10” lines using features like on-screen distance counters, date/time stamps, and voice-over recording.
• Use high-powered drain cleaning equipment to clear tough clogs, including those caused by roots, debris, or foreign objects.
• Provide exceptional customer service by treating customer property with care, minimizing inconvenience, and delivering cost-effective solutions.
• Work independently and as part of a team to complete jobs efficiently, often in rural or challenging environments.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure it is always ready for use, including performing drum changes and cable adjustments.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a plumbing technician, with a strong background in diagnosing and repairing sewer and drain issues.
• Familiarity with video pipe inspection systems and high-powered drain cleaning equipment (experience with General Pipe Cleaners tools is a plus).
• Ability to operate and maintain plumbing equipment, including performing routine adjustments and drum changes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in diverse environments, including rural and suburban settings.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality service and treating customer property with respect.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to job sites across multiple counties.
• Physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment, including loading and unloading machines from trucks.

Skills

• Proficiency in using video inspection systems (e.g., Gen-Eye®) to diagnose plumbing issues.
• Experience operating high-powered drain cleaning machines (e.g., Speedrooter 92®, Mini-Rooter®, Super-Vee®).
• Knowledge of Flexicore® cable and its applications in tough drain cleaning jobs.
• Ability to interpret inspection footage and communicate findings clearly to customers.
• Strong mechanical aptitude for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on professionalism and empathy.
