General Assembly Feasibility Lead

About the role

The Advanced Manufacturing Engineering General Assembly Feasibility Lead will oversee General Assembly (GA) activities across new and mid-cycle action (MCA) programs. This role involves providing direction to manufacturing feasibility specialists, driving product design to meet manufacturing requirements, and coordinating with internal manufacturing customers and the Product team through co-location. The lead will propose alternative product solutions to resolve issues and develop Design to Manufacturing proposals to optimize capital expenditure (Capex).

Additional responsibilities include supporting future Plant Loading studies, leading Vertical Integration for Make/Buy alignment, developing detailed Process Maps, ensuring Feasibility studies are performed in the plant environment, and leading Change Management meetings to align product processes and tooling. The role also involves managing General Assembly KPIs, ensuring Design to Manufacturing and Feasibility requirements are implemented in Product Design prior to Tool Kick-Off (TKO), and providing high-visibility weekly updates to Stellantis management. Travel to assembly plants to support Workplace Integration (WPI) and Launch activities is required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• 8+ years of Manufacturing/Product engineering experience, with knowledge of manufacturing/plant operations and Product design.
• Strong knowledge of GA manufacturing processes, tooling, and carriers.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Strong knowledge of DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly).
• Self-motivated and able to achieve results under time pressure.
• Ability to work with all levels of management while establishing and maintaining lines of communication.
• Superior teamwork and leadership skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Engineering.
• 10+ years of Manufacturing/Product engineering experience, with knowledge of manufacturing and plant operations.
