Assembly Lead

Join Life Fitness/Hammer Strength in Owatonna, MN as an Assembly Leader, assisting with daily assembly operations by coordinating personnel, tracking performance, and supporting safety, quality, and productivity improvements.

Schedule

• Four-day workweek: Monday through Thursday, 7:30 PM–6:00 AM
• Overtime opportunities available
• 3rd shift differential: $2.00 per hour for hours worked on 3rd shift

Pay

• Base pay: $24.50–$30.25 per hour, based on qualifications and experience
• Eligibility for Production Bonus Plan based on performance metrics

Responsibilities

• Assist with coordination of production within assigned assembly manufacturing areas
• Support cross-training, employee deployment, manpower allocation, quality concerns, and material issues
• Assist in developing and maintaining time standards and continuous flow of materials
• Document and discuss quality or time-standard discrepancies with supervisor or manager
• Partner with supervisor or manager to lead small-group meetings and improve work practices
• Communicate employee work issues to supervisor or manager
• Work closely with Quality Assurance on failed materials, components, and related quality issues
• Coordinate service work orders into the daily production schedule
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and other production departments
• Present the Strategy Deployment board to team members and staff at all levels
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Previous leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
• Mechanical ability
• Experience with an MRP system

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Occasionally lift up to 35 lbs
• Stand for extended periods
• Walk, bend, turn, and reach throughout the shift
• Repetitive motion associated with assembly activities
• Manufacturing environment with moderate to high noise levels
