About the role
The Oracle Veteran Internship Program (OVIP) is designed to aid military veterans and active-duty Military Spouses in their transition to a career in the private or public sector. Interns will engage in on-the-job training and professional development in various fields including information technology, technical/systems consulting, technical support, finance, human resources, logistics, marketing, sales, and customer support.
Responsibilities
- Support federal compliance initiatives.
- Work with the GDI Performance Management team to ensure documentation, processes, and policies are up-to-date and adopted.
- Maintain business relationships with interested parties on information security requirements.
- Collaborate with other Oracle One Federal teams on additional/related GDI Performance Management related initiatives in an ad-hoc capacity.
Requirements
- Experience with Cybersecurity and Information Security.
- Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
- Fundamental understanding of security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, etc.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- US Citizenship with ability to obtain a US security clearance if needed.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of standards and requirements with application security.
- Expertise in projects of risk, information security, and environment management.
- A strong multi-tasker with a keen eye for detail.
- Organized and thrive in fast-paced environments.
Skills
- Experience with NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, DFARS.
- Ability to communicate security issues to peers, management, customers, and end-users.

Pay and Schedule
Hourly wage is $30 per hour. This is a 40-hour per week position.
