About the role
The role involves supporting the Department of Labor's (DOL's) UISIm project, which is a multi-year initiative to redesign, implement, and test business process improvements for DOL's customers, partners, and internal staff. UISIm will replace the 40+ year old Unemployment Insurance (UI) legacy computer systems and manual procedures with a new and improved integrated computer system.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, monitor, and maintain cloud-based systems in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) according to security, performance, availability, and cost-management requirements.
- Implement, automate, and administer GCP cloud infrastructure using Terraform, Python or PowerShell, GKE clusters, pods, and services, Linux and Windows server administration, and configuration of GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC/XPN, Cloud SQL, Redis, Secret Manager, CDN, load balancing, Cloud Armor, Logging, Monitoring, Alerting, and Pub/Sub.
- Use CI/CD pipeline technologies, including GitHub repositories.
- Utilize Prisma Cloud and Tenable for security assessments and compliance.
Requirements
84 months of experience designing, developing, deploying, monitoring, and maintaining cloud-based systems in GCP.
84 months of experience implementing, automating, and administering GCP cloud infrastructure.
36 Months of experience using CI/CD pipeline technologies.
36 Months of experience using GitHub repository.
24 Months of experience using Prisma Cloud, Tenable, OS Patching/upgrading.
Qualifications
Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is required.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
Experience with automation tools such as Python or PowerShell.
Experience with Kubernetes (GKE).
Experience with Linux and Windows server administration.
Experience with various GCP services including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC/XPN, Cloud SQL, Redis, Secret Manager, CDN, load balancing, Cloud Armor, Logging, Monitoring, Alerting, and Pub/Sub.
Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Experience with GitHub repositories.
Experience with security tools such as Prisma Cloud and Tenable.
