About the role
The Platform Engineer (Mid-Level) is an engineering role on the newly established DFS Platform Services team. This role contributes directly to building, operating, and maintaining the internal platform that enables development and operations teams to ship software faster and more reliably. The candidate will work under the guidance of the Lead and Senior Platform Engineers in a structured, mentorship-rich environment.
Responsibilities
- Build, operate, and maintain the internal platform that supports development and operations teams.
- Collaborate with Lead and Senior Platform Engineers to deliver reliable software solutions.
Requirements
- 60 months of experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or systems administration, including at least 2 years in a public cloud environment (GCP preferred; AWS or Azure considered).
- 36 months of experience with GCP, including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC networking, IAM, and Secret Manager.
- 36 months of experience with Terraform, including reading, writing, and modifying infrastructure code within established patterns.
- 36 months of experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, or equivalent.
- 36 months of experience with GitHub and Git workflows, including pull requests and branch management.
- 24 months of experience in an Agile delivery environment, including sprint ceremonies and iterative delivery.
- 12 months of experience with Splunk for log analysis and observability.
- 12 months of experience with static code analysis tools such as SonarQube within a CI/CD pipeline.
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer or Terraform Associate (HashiCorp) certification.
