Full-Time Special Term Contract Instructor - English Composition

Responsibilities

• Teach all levels of English Composition courses on campus during the day.
• Ranging from foundational writing sections to honors courses.
• Teach across multiple instructional modalities, including in-person, online, and hybrid formats.

Requirements

• Master's degree in English, Composition/Rhetoric, or M.F.A. in Creative Writing.
• Minimum of one (1) year of relevant teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of course development, instruction, and evaluation.
• Knowledgeable in student learning using appropriate methods.
• Motivate students by demonstrating sensitivity to concerns and actively involving students in classroom discussions and/or activities.
• Make arrangements for equipment and supplies, or other activities as needed.
• Complete all course assessments as required.
• Use technology to enhance teaching/learning in the classroom.
• Participating in the assessment process.
• Maintain current knowledge of the professional discipline.
• Maintain appropriate expertise and competence through continuing professional development.
• Attend Fall and Spring Inservice session and professional development requirement.
