Pay Rate: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour. This represents the good faith estimate of the hourly wage range we reasonably expect to pay for this position upon hire, depending on factors such as the selected candidate's experience, training, education, job-related skills, internal equity, and operational needs. In select cases, and depending on market conditions or exceptional candidate qualifications, compensation may exceed this range, provided it aligns with applicable law and our compensation policies.

About the role

Manages the overall operation of the bars and premium clubs at Snapdragon Stadium.

Responsibilities

  • Operations
    • Lead by example, providing guidance to all team members with specific assignments for non-event days and pre-shift meetings with supervisors on event days.
    • Collaborate on drink menus and wine lists.
    • Enforce policy and procedures for the premium department using Aztec Shops SOPs.
    • Manage daily responsibilities of all premium employees, including side-work (daily/weekly tasks), sanitation, schedules, and timecards.
    • Oversee set-up and breakdown for all bars, including ordering product, space layout, equipment load-in, and staff assignments.
    • Responsible for consistent inventory of equipment, small wares, disposables, and beverages in the bars.
    • Ensure all equipment is in proper operating condition and cleaned regularly using established checklists.
    • Monitor and ensure compliance for proper inspections, handling, and storage of all inventories of food, supplies, and equipment.
    • Ensure all unit audit results score “exceed standards.”
    • Comply with and ensure continued, consistent compliance with all company policies and federal, state, and local laws/regulations, including employment, safety, and health.
  • Staffing & Development
    • Carry out leadership and supervisory responsibilities with a positive and professional approach in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
    • Provide supervision, leadership, training, and development of staff, including bartenders, bar backs, servers, in-seat servers, and supervisor staff.
    • Handle hiring, disciplining, setting work priorities, conducting pre-shift meetings, coordinating training, evaluating performance, and directing work assignments.
    • Participate in hiring interviews, job fairs, training, and employee development.
    • Ensure compliance with Food Handler, Responsible Beverage Service (RBS), and other required training within the Premium department.
    • Optimize staff productivity by maintaining adequate and proper staffing levels for each event.
    • Complete and maintain ServSafe Managers certification & RBS training in a timely manner.
  • Guest Services
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with premium customers by seeking out guest contact during events.
    • Make daily adjustments to load lists and itineraries based on customer needs and inform the General Manager of Premium of any customer issues or complaints.
    • Address complaints and resolve problems in a timely manner.
    • Hold the team accountable to steps of service to deliver great guest service and assist in any departmental guest service issues.
  • Financial
    • Complete employee payroll, tips, and service charge spreadsheets on a weekly basis.
    • Practice proper product control and handling of all inventory and equipment; develop strategies to evaluate and control products and services of the culinary team.
    • Understand food and labor costs and ensure bottom-line numbers are met.
    • Control inventory costs, portions, and minimize waste.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Education & Experience
    • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) degree required; Associate’s degree in Food Services Management/Hospitality or Business Administration preferred.
    • At least 3 years of supervisory experience in the high-volume foodservice industry, preferably in a premium hospitality environment within a sports and entertainment venue.
    • At least 2 years of bartending experience.
    • Strong communication, time management, computer literacy, and proven leadership skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace products.
    • Serve Safe Certified and Management Food Handler Certificate preferred.
  • Additional Requirements
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
    • Valid driver’s license with no more than three moving violations or accidents (or any combination thereof) in the past 12 months.
    • Must be at least 18 years of age.

    • Ability to read and interpret financial data.
  • Reasoning Ability
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and develop solutions/strategies.
    • Ability to interpret a variety of information or instructions with several undefined and some concrete variables.
    • Good analytical, quantitative, organizational, and management skills.
  • Manual Dexterity
    • Ability to utilize a computer and a variety of office machines and equipment.
  • Physical Communication
    • Ability to talk, express, and exchange ideas, and hear/perceive sounds.
  • Physical Demands
    • Ability to operate office equipment such as computers and copy machines.
    • Ability to move, lift, or carry heavy objects or materials up to 50 pounds.

Working Conditions

  • Work is regularly performed in a traditional office setting.
  • Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to humid and hot conditions, as well as cleaning chemicals.
  • Some risk of exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals and gases.
  • May work outdoors with exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, allergens, and work temperatures.
  • Noise level is usually low to moderate on non-event days and moderate to loud on event days, including exposure to loud noises such as speaker announcements, fireworks, and crowd noises.
  • May need to ascend/descend stairs as needed.

This position is considered a ‘mandated reporter’ under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act pursuant to California Penal Code Section 11166.5.

A background check, including verification of education, employment history, criminal records, and references, will be conducted after a conditional offer of employment. Additional checks may include a credit report, motor vehicle report, and verification of professional licenses, depending on the position.
