Full Time - Respiratory Therapist - Night Shift

About the Role

The Respiratory Therapist (RRT) performs a variety of therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, including ABG, PFTs, ventilator support, oxygen and aerosol therapy, bronchial hygiene, and airway maintenance. They assess and treat both adult and neonatal patients, demonstrating proficiency in respiratory care across all age groups while respecting diverse patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapies such as oxygen, aerosol, humidity, and mechanical ventilation.
• Conduct and report diagnostic tests like ABG analysis, pulse oximetry, and pulmonary function studies.
• Perform bedside assessments, interpret CXR, ABG, and PFT data.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain cardiopulmonary equipment.
• Participate in infection control, safety, and quality assurance tasks.
• Ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment and work areas.
• Communicate effectively to enhance patient satisfaction.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; NRP and PALS within one year.
• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner and registered by NBRC.
• Minimum of 6 months respiratory care experience.
• Ability to perform complex procedures and interpret medical data.
• Critical thinking skills and proficiency with respiratory equipment.

Schedule

Night shifts (7pm-7am) across a 12x3 schedule.
