Full-Time Respiratory Therapist - Night Shift

About the Role

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) performs a variety of therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, including ABG, PFTs, ventilator support, oxygen and aerosol therapy, bronchial hygiene, and airway maintenance. They assess and treat both adults and neonates, ensuring patient care aligns with departmental policies under indirect supervision. The RRT must demonstrate proficiency in respiratory assessment, treatment, interpretation of diagnostic data, and equipment troubleshooting while providing culturally sensitive care.

Responsibilities

  • Administer respiratory therapeutics such as oxygen, aerosols, and mechanical ventilation.
  • Perform and report diagnostic procedures including ABG analysis, pulse oximetry, and pulmonary function tests.
  • Conduct bedside assessments, review patient records, and interpret diagnostic results.
  • Operate, check, and troubleshoot cardiopulmonary equipment.
  • Participate in infection control, safety, and quality assurance activities.
  • Perform equipment maintenance and cleaning.
  • Utilize effective communication to enhance patient satisfaction.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardio Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner and registered with the National Board for Respiratory Care.
  • At least 6 months of respiratory care experience.

Skills

  • Knowledge of respiratory procedures, equipment, and interpretation of clinical data.
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient-focused care skills.
