Full-Time Respiratory Therapist - Night Shift

About the role

We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients of all ages, including oxygen therapy, diagnostic testing, ventilation support, and airway management.

Responsibilities

• Performing routine and advanced therapeutic procedures according to established policies.
• Monitoring and weaning oxygen and artificial ventilation.
• Analyzing and reporting arterial blood gases and EKGs.
• Aiding with airway management and providing patient education.
• Documenting clinical information, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining certifications.
• Collaborating with healthcare teams and attending staff meetings.

Qualifications and Skills

• Associate's Degree in a related field.
• Current state license as a Respiratory Therapist and certification by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
• CPR certification; NRP for NICU therapists; ACLS within 90 days of hire.
• Proficiency in computer skills, effective communication, strong analytical and interpersonal skills.

Physical and Environmental Demands

Must be capable of exerting significant physical effort, working in a healthcare environment with potential exposure to blood, body fluids, and infectious agents, with proper safety protocols in place.
