Full-Time Registered Respiratory Therapist

About the Role

A Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) responsible for performing therapeutic and diagnostic procedures including ABG, PFTs, ventilator support, oxygen and aerosol therapy, bronchial hygiene, and airway maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct respiratory therapeutics such as oxygen administration, aerosol therapy, airway maintenance, and mechanical ventilation.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures like ABG analysis, pulse oximetry, pulmonary function tests, and electrocardiograms.
• Assess patients through physical exams, interviews, and medical record reviews to develop treatment plans.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain cardiopulmonary equipment.
• Participate in infection control, safety, and quality assurance activities.
• Ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment and work areas.
• Use effective communication to enhance patient satisfaction.
• Adapt care to meet diverse patient needs across all age groups.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardio Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in good standing in Texas.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• At least 6 months of respiratory care experience.

• Cultural sensitivity.

Additional Requirements

NRP and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications (must be obtained within 1 year of hire).
