About the role

We are seeking a Phlebotomist III Site Lead responsible for drawing quality blood samples, ensuring accurate specimen processing, and supervising daily operations at multiple locations, including Patient Service Centers and in-office settings. This role involves leading and mentoring staff, providing exemplary customer service, managing complex test orders and high-volume workloads, and coordinating with various departments such as Sales, Laboratory, and Logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Draw quality blood samples from patients.
  • Ensure accurate specimen processing and data entry.
  • Supervise daily operations at assigned locations.
  • Lead and mentor phlebotomy staff.
  • Provide exemplary customer service.
  • Manage complex test orders and high-volume workloads.
  • Act as a point of contact and coach new employees.
  • Adhere to safety and compliance protocols.
  • Participate in special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum five years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
  • Strong data entry skills and proficiency with lab systems.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation if travel is required.
  • High School diploma or equivalent; phlebotomy certification preferred in some states.

Skills

  • Exceptional phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to lift objects up to 40 pounds and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
  • Proficiency in English and adherence to safety and compliance policies.
