About the Role
This position oversees all aspects of Patient Services within the hospital's Culinary Service department, focusing on providing exceptional meal experiences and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily patient meal operations
- Collaborate with nursing to meet patient needs
- Train staff in therapeutic diets
- Implement clinical best practices
- Lead human resources functions
- Maintain food safety standards
- Monitor quality and satisfaction scores
- Communicate with healthcare providers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Service, Dietetics, Nutrition, or Management
- Registration as a Dietitian within 6 months of hire
- Food safety certifications
- Leadership experience
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency in computer applications
- Experience in quality improvement initiatives
Physical and Additional Requirements
- Ability to read labels and interact with customers
- Manual dexterity
- Lifting and standing for extended periods
- Working in temperature-variable environments
