Full-Time Dietitian

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Full-Time Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare team in Whitfield, MS. Work environment: Mississippi State Hospital - Whitfield.

Responsibilities

• Providing nutritional expertise to the healthcare team and educating patients, residents, staff, and consultants.
• Following standards set by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborating with other departments to develop procedures and resolve issues related to dining and nutrition.
• Participating in continuous quality improvement programs.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Passed a national exam administered by the CDR or meets eligibility criteria.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years.
• Licensed or certified according to state requirements.
• Knowledge of assessment standards, care planning, and residents' rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.
• Preferred experience: healthcare or long-term care setting.

Pay

Compensation: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour, based on experience.
