Full-Time Nurse Supervisor

About the role

The Assistant Nurse Manager provides leadership in planning, organizing, and evaluating patient care within the unit, collaborating with the Nursing Manager. They oversee fiscal, human resources, risk management, and operational functions, contributing to strategic planning and program development, while maintaining 24-hour accountability.

Responsibilities

• Develops and manages care delivery models to enhance patient, family, staff, and provider satisfaction.
• Ensures compliance with nursing practice acts, regulatory standards, and organizational values.
• Promotes transparency, interdisciplinary collaboration, and accountability.
• Improves quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and services.
• Optimizes resource allocation and manages multidisciplinary teams providing competent, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of acute care experience with demonstrated leadership skills.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Proficient in nursing processes, patient care documentation, and bed placement systems.
• Effective communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to supervise staff, coordinate staffing, and educate patients and families.

Licensing & Certifications

• Registered Nurse (RN)
• BLS certification required within 14 days of hire
