About the Role
As a Clinical Assistant Manager, you will advocate for resource allocation, promote safe and compassionate nursing care, and support shared decision-making and professional autonomy.
Responsibilities
- Assists in developing performance improvement initiatives, provides staff feedback, counseling, and performance evaluations.
- Supports staff development, ensures competency, and fosters a professional environment through ethical conduct and positive communication.
- Participates in leadership meetings, councils, and special projects to enhance unit functioning.
- Collaborates with the Clinical Manager on operations, staffing, patient care models, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensures a safe environment, timely staff hiring, and effective use of nursing processes and team coordination.
- Engages in performance improvement activities, analyzes data, and communicates outcomes to staff and physicians.
- Acts as patient advocate, coordinates care with other disciplines, and maintains high visibility on the unit.
- Manages resources efficiently, balancing patient needs, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program; BSN preferred.
- Minimum two years of clinical nursing experience; leadership experience preferred.
- Knowledge of healthcare systems, performance improvement, JCAHO standards, and financial methodologies.
- Current RN licensure, BLS certification, and specialty certification within 6 months of eligibility.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
