Role Overview This position involves providing direct nursing care within the Women's Special Care department, serving diverse age groups from neonate to geriatric. The nurse will lead clinical activities, supervise staff, and assume relief charge duties, ensuring adherence to hospital policies and promoting a positive work environment. Key Responsibilities Participate in quality improvement, compliance, and strategic initiatives.Support shared governance and support staff assignment based on patient needs and staff qualifications.Supervise and evaluate nursing staff, delegate tasks, and foster teamwork.Act as liaison among physicians, patients, families, and departments to facilitate communication and problem-solving.Deliver safe, individualized patient care, including medication administration and assisting with procedures.Develop and implement care plans, participate in orientation, and train new personnel.Respond to emergencies, ensure accurate documentation, and maintain a safe environment.Engage in professional development and promote patient safety and quality standards. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor's degree preferred.Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience.Current RN license in NM or reciprocity, BLS certification within 30 days.Strong leadership, communication, and clinical judgment skills.Ability to delegate, supervise staff, and work in a physically demanding environment.
