Full-Time Nurse Director

About the Role

Responsible for organizing, developing, and overseeing the Nursing Department to ensure the delivery of high-quality resident care in a skilled nursing facility. Acts as a leader in compliance with federal, state, and local standards, managing staff, and ensuring safety practices in a luxurious environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and evaluate nursing personnel performance
• Oversee Education, Infection Prevention, and Wound Management programs
• Coordinate infection control and wound care initiatives
• Assist in developing resident care plans and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Manage staffing to ensure quality care
• Train and educate nursing staff, providing re-education when needed
• Handle emergency unit duties as required
• Perform related duties to support facility operations

Requirements

• Current NY State RN license in good standing
• Wound Care Certification (preferred)
• Supervisory or managerial experience in long-term care or similar setting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing needs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (preferred) or five years of supervisory experience
