Full-Time Nurse Director

About the Role

Oversees the Nursing Department in a skilled nursing facility, ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining high-quality resident care. Acts as a key link between hospital and home for residents requiring post-acute rehabilitation or long-term care in a luxurious environment.

Responsibilities

• Organize, develop, and direct nursing operations
• Manage Education, Infection Prevention, & Wound Management programs
• Supervise and evaluate nursing staff performance
• Oversee staffing to ensure quality care
• Coordinate infection control and wound care programs
• Assist with care plan development and resident assessments
• Communicate with interdisciplinary teams, residents, and families
• Provide emergency unit management when needed

Requirements

• Licensed RN in New York State in good standing
• Wound Care Certification and SigmaCare experience a plus
• Supervisory or managerial experience in healthcare, preferably in geriatric or long-term care settings
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (preferred) or minimum five years of supervisory experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt flexibly
