Full-Time Lead Sales Associate

About the role

The Lead Sales Associate supports store operations with a customer‑focused approach, assisting customers, operating cash registers, stocking merchandise, and maintaining store cleanliness. In the absence of management, they act in a leadership capacity to maximize profitability and ensure excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and assist with merchandise selection
• Operate cash registers, handle transactions, and process payments
• Stock, rotate, and display merchandise following planograms
• Maintain store cleanliness, including cleaning floors, restrooms, and stockrooms
• Open and close the store under supervision and perform duties of management when needed
• Assist in merchandise setup and store presentation

Qualifications and Skills

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of safety policies and cash handling procedures
• Ability to follow visual merchandising guides and perform math calculations
• Proficiency with cash register functions
• High school diploma or equivalent; supervisory or related experience preferred

Working Conditions

• Frequent standing, walking, and bending
• Handling merchandise and operating store equipment
• Lifting up to 40 pounds regularly, up to 55 pounds occasionally
• Occasional climbing and outdoor exposure
• Fast‑paced environment with moderate noise level
• Driving required for bank deposits and store visits
