Full-Time Lead Sales Associate

About the role

This position involves acting as a Cashier and/or Stocker with leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager. Key duties include stocking merchandise, maintaining plan-o-grams, assisting customers, operating cash registers, and ensuring a clean, organized, and safe store environment. Working conditions: frequent standing, bending, lifting (up to 55 lbs), operating equipment, and exposure to varying weather conditions. The role may involve driving to attend meetings or make deposits. The environment is fast-paced with moderate noise levels.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock shelves, rotate merchandise, and build displays.
• Assist with merchandise ordering and plan-o-gram implementation.
• Provide exceptional customer service by helping locate products and greeting shoppers.
• Operate cash registers, handle transactions, and manage register accuracy in the absence of management.
• Perform store cleaning tasks and maintain safety and security protocols.
• Authorize refunds, monitor cash levels, and complete necessary documentation when acting as acting manager.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform mathematical calculations and handle cash accurately.
• Knowledge of cash handling, safety policies, and use of POS systems.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of store presentation and plan-o-grams.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, with some supervisory or related experience beneficial.
