Full-Time Lead Medical Lab Scientist

Overview Seeking a Laboratory Supervisor responsible for overseeing all operational aspects within a hospital laboratory setting. The role involves managing records, reports, policies, and procedures, as well as analyzing testing methodologies, providing employee training, ensuring technical oversight, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Collaboration with team members to coordinate tasks, priorities, and goals is essential. The supervisor assists with test validations, quality control, regulatory adherence, and equipment maintenance, performing various diagnostic tests to support physicians in patient care. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science, biomedical science, medical technology, or related biological sciences preferred.Minimum of 3 years hospital laboratory experience required; previous lead or supervisory experience preferred.Certification as a medical technologist or medical laboratory scientist from ASCP, AMT, or AAB is required upon hire, in accordance with Georgia Department of Community Health regulations; provisional AAB certification not accepted.
